The Civic Dispatch welcomes civil discourse from all residents of Oakridge County on matters of civic policy, municipal expenditures, and communal welfare.
Length & Focus
Letters must not exceed 350 words and must directly cite an article, editorial, or municipal docket published within the preceding 14 calendar days.
Identity & Residence
Submissions must bear the author's real full legal name, home address, and day telephone. Anonymous letters and pseudonyms are discarded immediately.
Verification Protocol
Before morning publication, our editorial assistants verify all accepted letters via direct telephone callback to confirm factual provenance.
Right of Rebuttal
Public officials or private citizens directly scrutinized in published letters are afforded equal space for rebuttal within three consecutive issues.
